Ray has over 20 years experience and a wealth of knowledge having lectured on Radiographic Testing (RT)/ Radiographic Interpretation (RI), Eddy Current Inspection (ET), Ultrasonic Inspection (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) and Liquid Particle Inspection (PT) services. Ray has also received an ASNT Level 3 (95133) in MT, UT AND PCN Level 3 (203664) in MT, PT, UT, RT and ET methods.

His field experience has provided training and certification in NDT in accordance with company based schemes SNT/TC/1A and individual schemes such as PCN (ISO 9712). His extensive involvement in NDT Inspection and Rope Access has also involved him in the co-ordination of large onshore and offshore projects, both nationally and internationally. 

Ray has experience in the manufacture, fabrication, in-service inspection and integrity and has worked world wide, visiting locations such as  Luanda Angola, Port Harcourt & Lagos Nigeria, Congo, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Russia, Siberia, Baku Azerbaijan, Romania, Hoch Amin City, Hanoi Vietnam, Brazil, Singapore, Johannesburg, France, Italy, Canada, Houston, Ciudad del Carmen - Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.

With this experience, Ray is fully versed on training requirements across the globe and has the specialist skills needed to pinpoint, develop and deliver bespoke training programmes to meet the individuals specific environment, industry and location.

Extensively travelled having worked in over 25 countries, as a technician and later as clients’ representative, NDT auditor, trainer and examiner. He has a wide range of hands on experience that includes testing during fabrication of offshore platforms, refineries, coal, gas and nuclear power generation. Latterly Bernie worked in integrity management and monitoring. Additionally Bernie has been actively involved in quality management and has assisted a number of companies in gaining UKAS accreditation for their NDT services.

Currently Bernie’s responsibilities include providing NDT consultancy services for both large and small companies, assisting in the development of specialised testing techniques for not-standard applications as well as the preparation and presentation of specialised bespoke training courses, including introduction to corrosion and its suitable detection techniques.

As course lecturer Cristian will be responsible for delivering NDT training in the respective disciplines and is driven to deliver an authentic training experience that will prepare delegates for a role in NDT.
